Okay, let's see if I can put my frustration into proper sentences.
Last night (August 21), Josh Brolin sat down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to discuss his new film Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, and talk turned to his cult classic The Goonies.
Last year, director Richard Donner drove excitement through the roof when he told paparazzi that he was working on a sequel to his original film, so of course Fallon brought that up last night.
Brolin made all of us SO HAPPY when he told Fallon that, if a sequel did happen, "Of course I would do it".
But then this happened:
"But every five years, I keep hearing that we're gonna do it. And when, finally, you hear something like Richard Donner, it's on TMZ, so you can't believe it!"
Insert sad face here. And a slight giggle at the TMZ shade.
Check out the whole Goonies part of the interview here:
Let's just reiterate what Fallon said:
GET IT TOGETHER, SPIELBERG!!!
