Mere weeks after shooting began on 22nd January, production for the pilot of the much anticipated ‘Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has wrapped, as revealed by writer/executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen on Twitter.
The TV spin-off of the 2012 smash hit ‘The Avengers’ is based on the inner-workings of the government organisation at the centre of the Marvel-verse
The show’s cast members include Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Elizabeth Henstridge, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, and Clark Gregg, who plays fan-favourite Agent Phil Coulson, is also set to return. There is also the apparent possibility of Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders reprising their ‘Avengers’ roles of Nick Fury and Maria Hill respectively.
Following post-production, ABC will decide whether or not to pick up the series, and, if it is, then aim for a fall premiere.
Personally, I am extremely excited at the possibility of seeing Joss Whedon’s latest Marvel work, following his triumph with ‘The Avengers’.
