Judge Judy’s Shortest Case

A clip from a five year old episode of ‘Judge Judy’ has resurfaced in which a defendant takes less than 30 seconds to incriminate himself and lose his case.

A clip from an old episode of Judge Judy has gone viral. In what is hailed as her “shortest case”, the she is able to hear from the plaintiff, defendant, and render her decision in less than 30 seconds.

Gina Paradeza was an 18-year old high school student at the time who sued the man accused of stealing her purse. While Paradeza was pleading her case, Judge Judy asked her to list the items that were stolen. Paradeza included an earpiece, which was when the defendant spoke up, respectfully telling Judge Judy that “there wasn’t no earpiece in there, ma’am.” Judge Judy responded in the way she does best, calling both defendants “dumb and dumber” before ruling in favour of the plaintiff.

The clip was first uploaded in 2010, but has recently been recirculated, proving that not everything is terrible on the internet. Watch the clip below and marvel at how fast a case can fall apart.
