You read that right: Justin Bieber spent some quality time with his mom, Pattie Mallette, to help her record her first song.
The pair met in a recording studio in Atlanta, Georgia last Thursday night, after Bieber had allegedly been avoiding his mother after being arrested in Miami last month.
Mallette was happy to share some time with her son, and took to twitter to share her excitement: “That was the BEST night of my life @justinbieber you were SO sweet to me & I had so much fun #ILoveYou” she wrote.
She later added: “Amazing night recording my first song. Thank you so much for writing it love!”
Bieber shared an instagram video of his mom singing in the studio, with the caption “Got my moms courage enough to get in the booth for the first time she sounds so good”; he later posted a snapshot of the two of them hugging and wrote “What did I do mom, I love you”.
While there’s no word whether or not Mallette’s recording will make it to Justin’s next album, Beliebers are hoping for a mother and son duet.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Bieber gave a little tease of a new song on his instagram account.
People close to the family have revealed that Mallette has been “left worried” about Bieber’s recent erratic behaviour.
“As any caring mother would be, Pattie is genuinely concerned for Justin, and she has said in many interviews before that she doesn’t have her head in the clouds and keeps in very close touch with Justin” an insider told E! News.
“She talks with him almost every day, which is likely more than any mom and a 19 year-old son… and she is in the public eye dealing with all of this.”
