Justin Vernon, the singer-songwriter most known for his work with folk-outlet Bon Iver, is finalizing plans to curate his own music festival.
The outdoor festival is set to be called the Eaux Claires Music and Arts Festival, named after (and being based in) Vernon’s hometown, Eaux Claire, Wisconsin. The festival will be held on the Foster Farm. There will be two outdoor venues present on the farm during the festival, as well as a tented stage.
Permits have now been approved for the festival, and it’s preliminarily planned to take place July 17-18, 2015.
Said permit applications have revealed that Vernon and Crashline Productions, who will be producing the event together, are expecting an average of 25,000 people to visit the festival each day.
Vernon himself, of course, will decide on the festival’s lineup of musicians and art installations.
