What could be better than having Robert Downey Jr. and Karen Gillan in the same movie together? Well, probably a few things could be better. Perhaps not having the US government shutdown or free chocolate that fell from the sky. Those things, however, have either happened already or are near impossible. What isn't impossible is the fact that a Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers crossover could happen! While it is far from being confirmed or even talked about from the Marvel higher-ups, Guardians star Karen Gillan thinks that it would be a great idea. Gillan, who plays the villainess Nebula in the movie, told Total Film that the possibility of a Guardians/Avengers crossover, "sounds really cool, not something that I've heard about though, but that would be amazing. I would be open to that." Who wouldn't be!? In the interview, she also confessed to wanting to work with one specific Avenger. "Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr.'s really funny. I just love the tone of the Iron Man films. You can really see Robert Downey Jr.'s influence on those films." While Guardians of the Galaxy is definitely a part of the Marvel family, it really prides itself on sort of being the oddball of the bunch. Though it still has superheroes and villains, Guardians is also populated with talking trees and an animated raccoon among many other strange, yet entertaining and unique additions to the crew. Don't think that that is the only difference between this film and the more commonly known Marvel counterparts though. Gillan says that when it comes to Guardians, everybody is a bad guy but there just happens to be good guys within those bad guys. Check out the full, yet quite short interview with Gillan below. Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released on August 1, 2014.
