Kat Robichaud, noted indie music queen, is at it again with a visually exhilarating display with the flair, spunk and appeal of The Rock Opera The Rocky Horror Picture Show with her latest video release for "The Apple Pie and The Knife", from her first completed album post NBC’s The Voice, which released in January. This is the smashing follow up to "Why Do You Love Me Now?", with Kat continuing to deliver music in an often carbon copy industry with a style unique to her and the Darling Misfits that surely offers a spoonful of sugar to help the Jack go down.
Kat shows a desire to empower women to embrace each other, not only for the similarities they can accept, but the differences that can often alienate one's spirit, not only from those who aren't like you, but those who are.
Kat lent us some insight into the song, "'The Apple Pie and The Knife' is inspired by and deals with my experience on The Voice" Kat expressed, "of being slut-shamed and trolled by other women."
In an age where we are all so quick to openly show support for so many controversial topics like being transgender, same sex marriage, racial equality, etc. by changing our social media profile photos in solidarity... why not take a stand against slut-shaming and degrading your fellow woman?
Kat Robichaud has found a way to creatively embrace herself and empower those who have felt the sting of society's often harsh judgement. I encourage you to join Kat, find your inner rebel and courage to withstand and watch this video!
