Like mother, like daughter.
Actress Kate Hudson has been engaged to Muse front man Matthew Bellamy for nearly 3 years, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be walking down the aisle in the near future.
E! Online reports she recently revealed on Live! With Kelly and Michael that she’ll be taking her time, considering their busy schedules and all the work that goes into wedding planning.
“I’m planning nothing right now. I’m so busy, we’ve been so busy, and it’s been great. I come from an unconventional family—they’re not married, my parents aren’t married. There’s a part of me that goes, if I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it right. I’m going to take the time to really plan it right, and it’s a lot. Planning a wedding is a lot!” the 34-year-old said.
Her mother and stepfather, actors Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, have been together for more than 30 years.
“I mean, I did a movie about planning a wedding and that was a lot, let alone actually planning a wedding! So, no, not anytime soon, no,” Hudson continued, referring to her 2009 role in Bride Wars.
With everything going on in her life, it’s not a surprise that she doesn’t want wedding planning added to her schedule at the moment.
She stars in Wish I Was Here, a comedic drama that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this month, and she’s working on two more projects–Good People and Born To Be King–both expected later this year.
Hudson is also the face of Ann Taylor’s clothing line, and in their spring 2014 ad campaign, she brings her two sons along to portray the working mom both literally and figuratively.
Us Magazine has released new images from the photo-shoot, which incorporate Hudson looking stunning and stylish on a movie set with Ryder, 10, and Bing, 2.
“Ryder just turned 10, which is so crazy and he’s such a dude. Bing is two-and-a-half, and it’s just going [by fast]. He is a drummer…That’s all he wants to do,” she said proudly on Live!
