Fresh off her summer of touring America with the Pop Nation Tour, rising talent Katelyn Jae isn’t quite ready to slow things down just yet. The musician has spent the last few weeks putting the finishing touches on her debut album entitled Finally, but it seems like she couldn’t wait to give fans a taste of new music. Earlier this week, Katelyn Jae posted a cover of fellow newcomer Tori Kelly’s debut single “Nobody Love,” and it’s a pretty fantastic sample of her musical prowess!

Katelyn Jae kept things laid back for the cover, which she recorded in her kitchen (obviously for the great acoustic properties). Dressed in a comfortable hoodie, the young singer’s vocals soared over the acoustic rendition of the track. This girl can SING, and she really lets loose as she moves into the powerhouse chorus. Get it girl!

The Finally singer tweeted to her fans along with a link to the video. So far, Tori Kelly hasn’t replied to Katelyn Jae’s expert cover, but we would love to see these two work together in the future. Either way, it is a fitting tribute to one of the hottest songs of the summer! Better yet, it definitely raises the excitement for Katelyn’s own big debut release.

Although there isn’t an official release date for Finally, Katelyn Jae promised us in an exclusive interview that the album was on its way sooner than later!  Though it isn’t likely that the new cover of “Nobody Love” is going to make it onto the album, it is still exciting to hear more from such a promising up and coming talent. Nice job, Katelyn!
