Kanye West and Kim Kardashian aren’t the only ones to be celebrating a recent engagement. John Mulner popped the question to partner Katie Couric during their Labor Day weekend vacation in The Hamptons.

Couric was later quoted on The Wendy Williams Show saying, “I want Honey Boo Boo as my flower girl.” In that same show, Couric also revealed that she has yet to choose a wedding date, but that Molner’s choice of engagement ring is perfect.

“[John] went [to the jewelry store], they put out 12 rings. He said ‘That’s Katie’s ring.’ Ironically, three years earlier, I said to the jeweler, ‘If I ever, ever get remarried, that’s the ring I want.’”

Couric revealed to Williams how secretive her fiancé had been about getting the ring. He had studied information about the cut of diamonds and gone to several stores in secret. From the view Couric gave us on The Wendy Williams Show, we’d say he did a very good job!

Although Couric has said nothing about a possible wedding dress, Williams showed her viewers a couple of pictures of Couric in famous wedding dresses. One of these dresses was Honey Boo Boo’s mother’s camo dress.

“That’s the one! That’s the keeper,” Couric said. “And I want Honey Boo Boo as my flower girl.”

After the formal engagement announcement, Couric thanked all of her Twitter followers for their congratulatory messages and enthusiasm.
