Katy Perry Joins Forces With Madonna For Art For Freedom

Two music superstars are joining together in the name of art. Madonna has invited Katy Perry to be a guest curator for Art for Freedom. It promises to be a fabulous and fierce show with such enchanting performers. Perry and Madonna will scour the world to find an artist who best illustrates freedom. The creator, whoever it may be, will get a "$10,000 grant [to be given] to a nonprofit organization of their choice." The art involved is not just paintings or photographs. Works can also be poetry, music, and videos. The only requirement is that the artist has to show how their "creative expression demonstrates a unique view of the fight for human rights" - as stated on Billboard. Art for Freedom was launched in September 2013. Madonna has partnered with VICE Media to create this humanitarian effort. One of the previous guest curators was David Blaine. Perry seems to love her ability to express herself in music. She wants to spread her enthusiasm. The singer has even asked her fans to submit work for the show. She went on to say, "I believe that 2014 can be a year of great social change. Together we can all stand up for Human Rights. Join the conversation, and let your art be your voice." Madonna added, "Art can change the world, but first it needs to be seen and heard‎. Katy Perry and I are asking you to be that voice and show us how you define freedom in 2014."
