Ms. Perry’s new hit is barely a week old and details are already spilling on the next one.
"Roar" premiered last Monday after several leaking attempts and has dominated the charts ever since, surpassing Robin Thicke with "Blurred Lines".
Songwriter Bonnie McKee, who penned “Roar” alongside Perry, has said that we should expect “a big one” as well from her next single. McKee said that it was “kind of like every song has its movie”, comparing “Roar” to Rocky Balboa.
Nevertheless, she said that every song was special in its own way and they would each have “its own visual to go along with it, while staying ”really colorful and bright” as the rest of her songs.

Several critics and listeners found “Roar” to be tad reminiscent of her previous work, even though the hype surrounding the release of the single and the album pointed to something edgier, a la Britney Spears’ Blackout or Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster.
We are going to  have to wait and see if Katy Perry has any other surprises up her sleeve for Prism and this new era.
