KC and The Sunshine Band take us right to the dance floor on their bright new release "We Belong Together!"
That's right, the boogie inducing hitmakers are back on the scene! The iconic group emerged in the 70s and helmed massive boogie anthems including "Get Down Tonight" and "That's the Way (I Like It)."
This year the group have returned with a vengeance. The dance mavens teamed up with producer Stonehedge to meld their organic instrumentations and disco origins with some electro-kissed productions on new single "We Belong Together."
With one release KC and The Sunshine Band proved themselves more than capable of crafting a hit more than forty years into their career. "We Belong Together" is a striding house number that boasts a grooving production. Whirling synths and a sweet keyboard riff set the scene for an empowering vocal performance from the group. "We can make it last / forever make it last / we can't go wrong with this feeling" lead vocalist Harry Wayne Casey croons over the twinkling production.
The resulting track is all kinds of danceable, and it manages to feel current while still paying tribute to the group's iconic origins. It's an empowering track that has the potential of extending KC and The Sunshine Band's club domination through a new generation.
This week the group released a lyric video for the groovy single, and, if possible, it amps the energy surrounding the release even higher. The visual blasts the uplifting lyrics above a kaleidoscope of colors and empowering images. The resulting visual is bright and timeless, moving resolutely forward into bigger and brighter imagery always!
