Kelly Clarkson has a thing for Christmas, as she proved last year by releasing a festive studio album, Wrapped In Red
. This year will be a little extra festive, as the songstress will be hosting a benefit concert
during the season and she's got it all ready. Actually, she's even invited a great list of guests to join her on the stage and sing with her for a good cause.
The show, named Miracle on Broadway
, is scheduled to take place on December 20, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The line-up of fabulous talent that will join the former American Idol
winner on the stage includes Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, Kacey Musgraves, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Meghan Trainor and Charles Esten, among others. Kelly Clarkson herself stated of the show in an official statement:
"I love my adopted hometown of Nashville with all of my heart and I am so honored to be able to give back to the community alongside some of my favorite artists and friends for my first Miracle on Broadway benefit concert. I thank all of the artists joining me, as well as the people of Nashville for making me feel so welcome over the last seven years I have called it home."
The setlist will include Christmas classics, as well as the festive originals first sung by Kelly Clarkson in her Wrapped In Red
record. All earnings will be given to various charities in Nashville, with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Monroe Harding Children’s Home, Second Harvest Food Band and Thistle Farms being just a few of them.
