No, you didn’t read that wrong, Frasier Krane a.k.a. Kelsey Grammer will play the lead villan in the latest installment in the Transformers franchise. But before you start picturing him all done up as a robot, he will play the lead *human* villan, Harold Attinger, a counter intelligence officer.
Grammer will play the antagonist to newly cast protagonist Mark Wahlberg, who is replacing Shia LaBeouf in the lead (human) role. Other additions to the cast include Stanley Tucci, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz as well as talks that a Chinese reality show will lend itself to casting 4 other roles in the film (2 for professionals, 2 for amateurs).
Transformers 4 has been called by Michael Bay to ‘start of a new trilogy’ of films while Wahlberg concurs, calling the 4th film, “very different from the other three.”
The film starts production in July with a projected release date of June 27th, 2014.
