Kelsey Grammer Feels That Sideshow Bob Is Destined to Live Forever

Family Guy fans are still reeling over the shocking death of Brian Griffin in a recent episode. In fact, fans have practically rioted for his return. Prepare yourselves if you’re fans of The Simpsons. One of them is next. Executive producer AI Jean announced in September that a character would get the axe sometime soon, although he didn’t give a name (as if they ever do). Kelsey Grammer, voice of the villain Sideshow Bob, was recently asked by TMZ if his character was in any danger. “Not to my knowledge. He’ll come back. They’ve already killed him twenty times! He comes back alive,” Grammer said. The twenty-first time could be the charm, however. Or not, depending on how you look at it. AI Jean dropped yet another bombshell in October. He told Entertainment Weekly that the actor voicing the doomed character didn’t know what was going to happen. He offered only that the story around the character’s death is emotional, yet funny. “It’ll be bigger than ‘Who Shot J.R.?’, but not as big as ‘Who Shot Mr. Burns?’” he joked. In its 25 seasons, only four characters have ever died on the hit animated series. Looks like the residents of Springfield better watch their backs.
