Kevin Bacon Attached To “Tremors” TV Series

A television adaptation of the popular 1990’s film franchise Tremors could be coming to our television screens with the return of Kevin Bacon.

The cult classic film series Tremors could be coming to our television screens very soon — and with an essential returning cast member! Variety initially reported that the 1990 film will be developed into a television series with Kevin Bacon reprising his role as Valentine Mckee, and Bacon is also attached to executive produce the upcoming TV adaptation. It has also been reported that, although there aren’t any specific networks attached to the series just yet, there is plenty of interest in picking up the project. The current plot is unknown, but Canadian writer Andrew Miller (The Secret Circle) is attached to develop the script for the pilot episode. The original Tremors film earned over $48 million cumulatively, and received multiple sequels — as well as a loyal fan following for 25 years — and could presumably enlist an entirely new fan-base as well.

Kevin Bacon recently concluded his run on the Kevin Williamson series The Following (a must-watch crime thriller) and the notion of him coming back to TV for such a beloved series is more than enough to gain my interest! With multiple nostalgia based series coming back to television, what others would you like to see in the near future?
