The comedy duo that brought us the viral sketches “Substitute Teacher” and “Gay Wedding Advice” will not be returning to Comedy Central after the current season of Key & Peele ends.
Keegan Michael-Key and Jordan Peele brought their comedy genius to the Comedy Central network back in 2012. With most of their clips from the show exploding on the internet, Key & Peele were able to grow their fan base in an unconventional manner. With over 80 million views on the sketch featured below, it’s easy to see why the show has seen the success it has.
Beyond internet success, the show has been nominated for 8 Emmys this year, as well as a Peabody Award win in 2013. With five seasons under their belt, Key & Peele is parting ways with Comedy Central, but the two comedians have no plans of ending their partnership. All good things might come to an end, but this isn’t the last we’ll see of Keegan and Jordan together. With a movie already on the way and their work on a reboot of Police Academy, we’re sure to have more laughs with the pair.
Don’t miss the last 8 episodes!
