The Kardashian-Jenners have upped the beauty game yet again. Kim Kardashian’s new beauty line, KKW Beauty, sold out online within a few short hours of its debut on Wednesday.
What Is KKW Beauty By Kim Kardashian?
The KKW Beauty line is starting small at first, at least in terms of number of products for sale. So far, the only item in the line is the Crème Contour and Highlight Kit ($48.00). The kit comes in four skin tone shades (Light, Medium, Dark, and Deep Dark), and each kit comes with a double-sided contour stick (in shimmer and matte shades), a double-sided highlighting stick (also with shimmer and matte options), and a double-sided blending brush.
On KKW Beauty’s Instagram page, Kardashian shared a short video tutorial for how she uses the Crème Contour and Highlight Kit.
At her new line’s official launch event this week, Kardashian told PeopleStyle that ease of use is the product’s biggest selling point: “To me, it’s just the easiest thing, especially in a stick form because it’s like a crayon and you’re just warming up your face and then you blend it in with a brush. You can even blend it in with your fingers. It’s just like putting on foundation; you just literally leave some spots out.”
Following the mega success of younger sister Kylie Jenner’s lip kits, Kardashian’s first preview of KKW Beauty was in the form of a liquid lipstick kit, KKW x KYLIE, available through Jenner’s KylieCosmetics.com. The set was also made available on the KKW Beauty site and sold out along with the new contouring/highlighting kit.
Despite the sisterly collaboration, Kardashian wants KKW Beauty to continue to develop its own range of unique products. As she told Harper’s Bazaar this month, “I am focusing on skin. Not that I won’t have eyeshadows in a kit, but I am not focusing on color cosmetics. My line will really differ from Kylie’s, and it is a whole separate thing.”
With the instant success of KKW Beauty’s launch, re-stocks and new products are in the works. As for future Kardashian-Jenner beauty ventures? There’s already been a KoKo Kollection with Khloe through Kylie Cosmetics, so my money’s on Kourtney. #KourtKits, anyone?
