Kit Harington Recalls Falling In Love With Rose Leslie While Filming Game Of Thrones

Kit Harington gets all mushy and adorable when recalling the moment he fell in love with Rose Leslie on the set of Game of Thrones.

In Game of Thrones, Jon Snow and Ygritte were star crossed lovers who came from opposing sides of a war. At first he only feigned allegiance to her cause to help the Order to which he belonged.

But fall in love they did, and it was a tragic affair. In the end she hesitates in killing him, but this pause ultimately caused her death from an arrow through the heart, and she dies in Jon Snow’s arm telling him her signature words: “You know nothing, Jon Snow.”

In real life, though, Jon Snow, or Kit Harington, does in fact know something. Unlike his naive character who knows little about women, he seems to have won over the affections, of Rose Leslie the actress who played the Wilding Ygritte.

The couple have been dating on and off since 2012, and it looks like they won’t be mirroring the tragic ending of their on-screen characters.

They looked affectionate and tender toward each other when they made their first official outing on the red carpet of the 2016 Laurence Olivier Awards at the Royal Opera House in London in April. The two, who are notoriously private, were surprisingly unperturbed by the cameras, and they even showed some PDA.

In an interview with Vogue Italia, Kit Harington revealed that his favorite memory on set was tied with his lady love.

“The three weeks in Iceland when we were shooting the second season. Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love” the dashing actor said.

Now can you imagine that scene? Kit and Rose at first only pretending to be in love for work, then it slowly blossoming amidst Iceland’s beautiful landscape . They then go out  exploring on their own, the Northern Lights working its magic on their hearts?
