Lady Gaga recently announced that she is working on a new album, and she is apparently getting some star-studded help from Sir Elton John. John. When interviewed by Zane Lowe from Beats 1, John said:
I'm writing with Gaga tomorrow. I've heard two songs, which are killer. They’re just great songs. It’s like back to the early stuff of hers, like ‘You and I’ and the Bruce Springsteen one — as I always call it — ‘Bad Romance'.
This all makes sense now, as Gaga recently mentioned in an interview for Billboard that John has made her happy. She also discussed her collaboration with Tony Bennett, who helped her after her previous album, Artpop, was a flop.
"[Bennett] is responsible in so many ways for making me happy, and I can say the same for Elton [John],” the "Poker Face" singer said. “When the whole industry turned their back on me during Artpop, they were the ones who said, ‘Hey, this is a blip. It’s going to go away.’
Gaga's most recent album, Cheek to Cheek, was released in 2014, but she has not released any new music since. This could have to do with her work on the TV series, American Horror Story: Hotel, which brought in her first Golden Globe. In fact, it was at the award show when she announced to the world that a new album was forthcoming. She told reporters, " You know, I am putting out an album this year. I won't tell you when!"
Gaga is not the only singer getting ready to release an album, however, Elton John has an upcoming album release of his own with the album Wonderful Crazy Night due out on February 6.
