Lady Gaga Releases Duet With Christina Aguilera

It’s here! Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera’s duet was posted on Gaga’s YouTube account on December 31. Rumours of the two pop heavyweights collaborating were confirmed recently after the pair performed Gaga’s hit track ‘Do What U Want’ on The Voice Final. The performance and the song in general were very well received with the track topping charts all over the world after its release. The remix of the song, which originally features R. Kelly, was recorded shortly after the performance and appears to be a comment against the non-existent rivalry between the two created by the media. The two were heavily compared when Mother Monster’s career was taking off and even until after the release of her third album, Born This Way. Even though most of Gaga’s vocals are recycled from the original track, she wrote the verse Christina features on and the two superstars flaunt their impressive vocals towards the end of the song. The remake also features alternate drums in certain parts of the song that resemble the live performance from The Voice Final. The video for the R. Kelly version is apparently ready to release very soon after a series of Tweets from Gaga’s pals responding to fans looking for a release date. The music video was filmed by Terry Richardson, who Gaga has worked with many times in the past. It is said that the video will be very explicit and completely different to every other Gaga video! We can’t wait! ‘Do What U Want’ is the second single from Gaga’s latest album, ARTPOP, which is available now.
