Former *N Sync member, Lance Bass, took to his SiriusXM show (Dirty Pop With Lance Bass) to commentate on the uproarious reaction the rumors that he and his former band mates will be reuniting for Sunday’s MTV VMAs.
"Justin Timberlake is getting the ‘Michael Jackson Vanguard Award’ this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are automatically going to think we’re going to be there performing," Bass stated.
"But this is exactly how it happened and I knew these rumors were going to fly."
Bass did admit that he attended Justin’s concert on August 16 with Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, and that JC Chasez was unable to attend, but that this was not meant to imply that a reunion was imminent.
"I think that’s what started the rumor that there’s going to be this big reunion with *N Sync," he mused.
"It’s amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media [and] how many people are supporting *N Sync.”
"It’s so nice to see because when we ended things [over] ten years ago, there was no social media, there was no Twitter, but it’s so cute to see how many people are supporting [us], and *N Sync was even trending."
You know what I didn’t hear from Lance? A denial! While MTV and representatives for Justin have yet to confirm or deny the potentially epic reunion, Lance certainly didn’t shoot down the rumors. I know that I will certainly be tuning in to see if my five favorite crooners will harmonize once again.
