Are those rumors of new music, or are you just happy to see me? Just because *NSYNC isn’t making their reunion permanent, it doesn’t mean its members haven’t started striking out on their own. Previous band member Lance Bass revealed via Instagram that he was starting production on a new solo album. “Here’s the big news! THIS just happened last night! My debut is done! I will reveal all on today’s show at 6pm east Sirius XM 109 (and yes that’s how a bass singer hits high notes, on his toes).” While Bass and other band members have come together to perform at weddings, music awards, and other shows, they have squashed the rumors of work on a new group album. Bass, on the other hand, has teamed up with Australian DJ-producer, Anise K, and producer KC Porter for his debut release. His new pop song, “Walking on Air,” should be set to go public the first week of January. The song will feature different famous artists from around the world, and various versions of the song will be released in their respective countries, depending on the artist performing alongside Bass. Marc Schaffel, executive producer of Bass’ project, talks about the collaboration. “Listeners from around the world will have the option to hear the various versions and pick their favorites to download from iTunes, whether it is a version that features a well known local artist from their part of the world or one from a different part of the world.” "The first release of the song with Anise K, who is from Australia,

”—don’t you mean Snoop Lion?—“was in Australia several months ago and has topped charts and even expanded beyond Australia, in places like Russia to become a No. 1 song because the power of the Internet. This gave me the idea after several countries invited Anise for live performances and asked if local artists could perform the song with him." It’s a great idea to get people’s names out in the music industry! Ian Thomas, a Belgium sensation, will be featured in Bass’ album for his region. Parts of the song have already been released for show openings, including 2013’s Miss Universe pageant. Schaffel says that Bass will be finishing a music video for the song sometime this week. The most current version of the music video will remain on YouTube until the official version is made public. Check back soon!
