Good Morning America is promoting! And Lara Spencer has been announced as new co-host. The new ABC News division president, James Goldston, sent a memo to all staff today, including the announcement of promotions, “Lara is clearly an essential ingredient in the success we have enjoyed and I’m so happy to announce that Lara has been elevated to co-host of the program along with Robin and George.” Lara Spencer will be joining Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos to host the popular morning show. Spencer and Roberts have both signed contracts to stay with the show, Stephanopoulos’ reps are now in talks with ABC News regarding his contract. The very positive Goldston had a lot to say in his memo, including his great confidence in the show for times ahead, “With our amazing team of George, Robin and Lara and now Amy and Ginger too- I’m confident there is much more to come- and great days ahead for Good Morning America.”
