Any fan of Lea Michele knows that she recently released her debut solo album, Louder.
Upon being released, it instantly soared to the number one spot on iTunes, which is well deserved! Louder
recently reached another achievement, landing a spot in the top 5 of the Billboard charts. The album actually made #4, and sold 60,000 copies in the first week alone!
This isn’t the first time a song that featured the ever so talented Lea Michele was at the top of the Billboard charts. Both songs from the hit television show Glee
and songs from the Broadway show Spring Awakening
made the top slots in previous news. Glee
has a total of 22 albums on the Billboard 200, three of which trumped all songs at the #1 spot.
Have you checked her album out yet? If not you should definitely give it a try! It is definitely not a show tune overload. She has a nice mixture of upbeat songs, along with more somber songs to represent the year she has had. This includes her tribute song to her late love Cory Monteith. If you haven’t listened to it, you’re in luck! Take a listen to the video below. It is such a beautiful song full of such great meaning. But Louder
isn’t the only big accomplishment this year for Michele, her memoir Brunette Ambition
is also set to release later this year.
