LEX Shares Her Self-Love Anthem “Feeling You”

“…It can be so easy to turn towards negativity and bad thoughts, but being negative all the time can be so exhausting…”

The past year has left millions around the world feeling out-of-sorts, emotionally and especially mentally, and seen more and more individuals – and artists – speak out about the importance of mental health and well-being, in all its forms. If the past year has taught us anything, it’s that life is short and precious, and we should do what – and be who – makes us happy, something Korean-American soul-pop singer LEX wholeheartedly champions and expresses through her music.

Her new single “Feeling You”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere, addresses the topic of self-love; serving as a reminder that we should and need to focus on and love ourselves. In her own words, she says of the track: “Feeling You comes from a place of me, feeling myself. I had been struggling with my mental health for a while in the midst of writing and releasing my last album “Bits and Pieces”. I was in a very dark place, and it took me a long time to seek treatment. To process, to learn, and to grow into someone I actually liked when I looked in the mirror!”

She goes on to add that: “Feeling You” is an anthem on self-love! Loving yourself, and loving everyone around you. Everyone should always be feeling themselves! It can be so easy to turn towards negativity and bad thoughts, but being negative all the time can be so exhausting. So, I wanted to start creating and manifesting this positive mindset, and try to channel good energy. It has brought me so many blessings and many lessons learned. But more importantly it has made me so much happier knowing who I am, and I love myself for that. I know I’m on the right track to being my best self, making music that’s fun and exciting, but more importantly, empowering.”
