Liam Hemsworth Reportedly Mortified By Miley's VMA Performance

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus formed a relationship back in June of 2009 when they met on the set of their movie The Last Song. They’ve been on and off for three years now.

While they are currently engaged, they’ve had a rocky relationship the past few months in the media. Miley’s VMA performance seems to have only put more strain on the relationship.

Sources are saying that Liam was “mortified”  from seeing Miley’s performance. The Mirror is reporting that that Liam is not a fan of the direction that Cyrus is going with her career.

“Liam really does care about Miley, but her racy new look and sort of ghetto attitude isn’t exactly what he signed up for”, a source told The Mirror .“He doesn’t really see anything sexy about what she did on stage.”

Liam was clearly absent from the VMAs on Sunday, which many claim is a sign that the two are headed for a split. Sources told Hollywood Life that Liam chose not to attend the awards when he learned of what Miley would be doing on-stage for her performance.

Whether Liam and Miley are breaking up is anyone’s guess.

One thing’s for sure is that Liam will have a lot on his plate the next couple months promoting his movies: Empire State, which comes out September 3, 2013, and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which comes out November 22, 2013.

His last movie, Paranoia, which was released back on August 16th of this year was panned by critics and didn’t do so well at the box office either, only making 8 million dollars back of the 35 million dollar budget it took to make the movie.

With a bust at the box office and a rocky relationship, 2013 seems to be a rough year for Liam!

Hopefully with Catching Fire coming out in November, let’s hope he can end his 2013 on a high note!
