It was “an affair to remember” and one that many would probably like to forget.
Over a year after pictures surfaced of Kristen Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, and we’re still talking about it. The affair, which at first was described as a “fleeting moment” and then discovered to have gone on for months, was what broke Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart up, as well as Rupert Sanders and his wife, Liberty Ross.
Ross spoke with Vanity Fair about the affair, describing it as “horrible,” “the worst,” and also saying that she has “no words to describe what we went through.” She found out about the affair from Sanders less than a day before the pictures went viral and a friend of her brother offered Ross and her children a secluded place to escape to.
Sanders had wanted to work on the marriage, the couple even went through some marriage counseling, but Ross knew the marriage was over, saying she “didn’t have any more to give” after doing everything “to be the perfect wife and mother.”
In thinking about the scandal and end of her marriage she acknowledged that they did have problems, saying “We’d lost our real connection.” Ross seems to reach a point of closure and acceptance of the scandal and end of her marriage, she described herself as “going through a rebirth” and said that she forgives Sanders.
