It looks like Mr. Coolpix himself is taking on an even bigger technological venture! PC vending giant Lenovo has just announced that Ashton Kutcher (Jobs, That 70’s Show) has joined their team as a product engineer. The technology company released a statement naming Kutcher as a new engineer who will be helping with a new Android tablet called the Yoga "to develop and market the Yoga line of tablets by providing input and decision-making into design, specifications, software and usage scenarios." According to E! Online, the Chief marketing officer at Lenovo said that "[Ashton Kutcher's] authentic, creative appetite for technology and keen consumer insight combined with our innovation engine make this a very natural and powerful partnership. This partnership goes beyond traditional bounds by deeply integrating him into our organization as a product engineer as we look at developing the next wave of products." Ashton has long been the face of Nikon’s Coolpix camera commercials, but he’s a bit more involved in the technology industry than many of us may have realized.  Ashton is the cofounder of A-Grade Investments which has had a hand in software and products that you’ve probably heard of and use daily including; Fab, Foursquare, Spotify, Path and Uber. "This partnership with Lenovo brings together my love of technology and design that makes your life better," Kutcher said during the live stream launch event in Los Angeles on Tuesday. "I can't wait to dig in and help Lenovo develop future mobile computing products, starting with the Yoga Tablet. Lenovo is all about innovation and strong leadership. Entrepreneurship is part of their DNA, and I couldn't ask for a better fit." From Team Mac to Team PC, I don’t know what to think. [youtube=]
