If you’ve been watching any network at any given time of the day, you might notice Lindsay Lohan has been on quite the media blitz. She’s done late night with Letterman and Andy Cohen and now daytime, guest-hosting with the polarizing ladies of The View
After a formative welcoming “after all of these years,” Barbara delved into Lindsay’s docuseries, which she didn’t realize had already begun airing. Between questions of regrets and opportunities as a result of the series, Lindsay reminded the audience that she’s just trying to get into a routine – working, cooking, and taking care of herself. Lohan reminded them of her love for acting and that she is willing to put in the work, “emailing people, going down to the studios.” Much to The View
hens’ dismay, there aren’t any men on Lindsay’s radar. “They’re a distraction. I’m feeling good, and it’s working.”
Questions about her family life, her father in particular, from Barbara gave Lindsay the opportunity to show maturity. “I’m in a good place… I don’t want to get involved,” she said. Whoopi tried to lighten the mood by asking if LiLo had been able to visit Coachella this year (the Whoopster was sad to miss the first weekend apparently). Lindsay talked about going with her two brothers and sister, taking videos and having fun with them in ways she couldn’t when she may have previously been in a “different head-space”.
The ladies segued to a story about studies that show taking selfies can lead to psychological problems, narcissism in particular. (Shocking, I know.) The hosts’ own selfies began to cascade across the background screens, as well as some of Lindsay’s. They laughed at the thought that most selfies take place in the bathroom, to which Barbara asked LiLo, “Are you undressed (when you take yours)?” AWKWARD GIGGLES. Whoopi proclaims she don’t need no selfies, she already knows what she looks like. Lindsay gives them a pro-tip: taking your own selfie when paparazzi are around takes the power away from them!
