Lindsay Lohan tried her hand at chat show hosting as she took over E!’s Chelsea Lately on Monday. After recently completing 90 days of court-mandated rehab, LiLo seemed in high spirits as she joked about celebrities – including herself.
She threw aside a newspaper bearing the headline “Lohan Needs Therapy” and bantered with Brad Wollack, as she told him that he’d “had plenty of time to make fun of me.” He retorted, “And we drive very nice cars because of it, so thank you.”
While Lohan has been plaguing the press in recent years, she was presenting the talk show in order to promote her new movie The Canyons (and promote she must after receiving a bashing from critics).
Lohan also made light-hearted jabs at Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, and Kristen Stewart. Discussing Stewarts recent run-in with a paparazzo, LiLo joked “I’m just excited that Kristen Stewart, you know, finally showed some emotion.” She also referred to the snap of Stewart’s kiss with married movie director Rupert Sanders.
In closing, the actress stated how she was “proud to have hosted the first episode in Chelsea Lately history that did not feature a salacious headline about Lindsay Lohan.”
Well, it certainly was different, Lindsay.
