Thought the news around Lindsay Lohan’s rehab and addiction had finally died down? Not quite yet.
In fact, you just might hear more news about Lohan. What is nice is that the majority of it may be good.
Lohan’s reality TV show air date has just been announced by the Oprah Winfrey Network, to premiere on March 9th at 10 pm EST on OWN.
Cameras will be on Lohan as she takes on the (long) road to recovery, while reuniting with her friends and family. In addition to her journey, Lohan will also discuss the highs and lows of stardom.
As reported by Digital Spy, the Mean Girls star was offered a deal worth $2 million (£1.3 million) shortly after leaving rehab in August, 2013.
However, Oprah was not entirely certain about producing the show. In fact, she almost canceled it, thinking that Lohan might not be responsible enough to have her own show. Oprah explained to Access Hollywood, “I went to her house just to say, ‘What are you doing? Let’s get real here’… because it’s television and we stand to gain if it does well.
“But the real truth is – and anybody who knows me, certainly my producers on the way there – I said, ‘If I get here and Lindsay isn’t serious, I will shut this thing down today’.”
Bless her and I wish her luck in her recovery process. I’d love to see her on the big screen again.
