In an interview with CNN’s Gloria Borger, republican Sen. Lindsay Graham told us how he really felt about the GOP-led investigation into Benghazi.

“I think the report is full of crap,” Graham said as he was questioned during “State of the Union” on Sunday. His criticism comes after a two-year-long investigation found no real support to back up the claims that have been made about the attack on September 11, 2012.

To Graham, who has maintained his opinions that the Obama administration has been lying to cover up what actually happened, this report just is not good enough.

The report itself was issued on Friday afternoon, and was done so without much fuss, which many have commented on. Not only did it conclude that Obama’s administration did not miss any opportunities for rescue but it pretty much exonerates them of any of the claims of misconduct that have been made.

Crucially, this report also shows that officials did not deceive the public, as individuals like Graham have been touting for the past few years. Sen. Graham’s response to this finding?

“That’s a bunch of garbage,” he stated, “that’s a complete bunch of garbage.”

Interestingly, in a later part of the same interview, Graham and Borger danced around the subject of 2016. This resulted in an awkward nod from Sen. Graham when Borger asked if he was “maybe” considering it himself. Could this staunch position, and potential waste of tax payer’s money, be a part of the “strongly encouraged” beginnings of a presidential run? We’ll just have to wait and see.
