Lisa Bell Drops The Video For New Single “Back Seat”

It shares a powerful message; one that reminds parents that they can once again look forward to exciting new opportunities..

As any parent surely knows, children are always at the forefront of your thoughts, and certainly for the first 18 years or so, your life. Colorado singer Lisa Bell, like so many other parents have done and continue to do, put her children before and above anything else, but now that they’ve grown up, moved out of the family home and are enjoying their independence, she’s rediscovering herself and has addressed this experience lyrically on her latest album Back Seat.

The title track of the collection she refers to as a story of how she’s “taking the wheel” and taking back control of her life now that she has the time and the freedom to do so, and while so many empowerment songs today tend to address the younger generations, Lisa’s is aimed at those like herself. It shares a powerful message; one that reminds parents that they can once again look forward to exciting new opportunities and encourages them to embrace once again the creativity and passion that may have been left behind or not fully realized.

The video for the track, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere, has an interesting story behind it, as Lisa explains:

“The video was filmed in one afternoon on Monday, March 16, right before most of the U.S. was put on official lockdown. We all used social distancing techniques, especially the drone operators who we waved at in the distance and communicated with by phone. Though my son has been out of our house for several years, he lives in a neighboring city, so I asked him to make a cameo. That was the last day I got to give him a hug as we’ve been playing it safe ever since! With everything going on the video has extra special meaning for me and I’m sure it will for others facing similar situations right now. “
