Liz Loughrey Gets Ready to Rise Up At The Hotel Cafe

Canadian singer-songwriter Liz Loughrey is getting ready to perform at Hollywood’s famous Hotel Cafe with an acoustic performance this Friday night.

Canadian singer-songwriter Liz Loughrey is making her way into Hollywood’s The Hotel Café this Friday night with a 40-minute acoustic set. Performing alongside Liz will be guitarist Adrian X (The Weeknd, Drake, and PartyNextDoor).

I got a chance to listen to her latest single, entitled “Rise Up.” The song was written and produced by Loughrey, in addition to Adrian X and Supa Dups (who has also worked with Drake, PartyNextDoor, and Mary J. Blige) and has racked up over 100,000 plays on Spotify and over 3 million views on YouTube. “Rise Up” defines music and life in “the sense of bringing people together, that sense of calling people to come out of their comfort zone.”

The video is a compilation of clips from around the world portraying both devastation and inspiration amongst various settings. This started the #RiseUpMovement, in which she encourages people to focus on their strengths and gifts and what they can do to give back. When she is not singing or on tour, she is working with seventh and eighth graders in various workshops about self-esteem. “’Rise up’ is the foundation, the tone of what I want to do. It’s the reason why I sing.”

Liz Loughrey “Rise Up!”

I love how beautifully put together the video is. Her vision is brought to life in such a way that it relates to so many people. The song really makes me want to ‘Rise Up’ and do something for others.

Liz is thrilled to perform at the Hotel Cafe. “Playing these songs acoustically allows me to share my stories in a raw and uninhibited way. I love performing in Los Angeles and the energy I feel here always makes for a special show.”

If you’re in the Los Angeles area and want to see Liz perform, you can buy tickets here. To keep up with Liz, follow her on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
