One of the most anticipated of Marvel's recently announced slate of forthcoming films is the third installment in the Thor series. Thor: Ragnarok will hit theaters on July 28, 2017.  After making the announcement, Marvel Studios executive Kevin Feige confirmed that Tom Hiddleston would be returning to play Thor's brother Loki. The announcement was not surprising since the widely-adored Hiddleston's portrayal of Loki has made the character one of the most popular in the entire MCU. The end of Thor: The Dark World also pointed to much more mischief to come for the trickster god. So with the third Thor film so far away, we don't know much about exactly what Loki will have up his green and gold sleeve, but we do have at least a couple of interesting pieces of info to consider. With the confirmation of the Ragnarok title, it could be that the plot of the film will at least in some way follow one of same-titled arcs in the comics, with Loki possibly freeing the fire demon Surtur and other enemies of Asgard. One concrete Loki-related fact Feige revealed is that Loki's scepter will indeed be one of the infinity gems that will show up in the über-powerful gauntlet of super-baddie Thanos. Loki lost ownership of the scepter back in the original Avengers, but who knows if he will make an attempt to reclaim it before it ends back up with Thanos. After his failure to take over Earth, Loki may now also be on Thanos' hitlist, so future movies could reunite the two characters for an epic clash. For now, we'll just have to let our imaginations run wild with theories on Loki's future. It definitely won't be the first time Loki's driven us all crazy! What plans would you like to see for the God of Mischief? Let us know in the comments!
