After the excitement of the first pictures last night we have more Sherlock news to share. With the British fans of hit drama Sherlock still waiting for the announcement of the airdate of the long awaited Season Three, it looks like the British Film Institute may be dropping some hints.

They announced on their website today that they will be holding a screening of Episode One, with a Q&A to follow, on December 15th. Tickets go on general sale for the screening next week however if you are a member of the BFI you can get your tickets tomorrow. There is no confirmation of who will be attending the event, however it would not be a surprise if Mark Gatiss was there as the writer of the episode “The Empty Hearse”.

As the time draws closer to finally seeing Holmes and Watson back on our screens, it seems that we will be teased right up to the airdate.

It has already been confirmed that US fans will be reunited with the duo on January 19th 2014. The BFI event will be held on December 15th, so perhaps we have another clue towards the UK date. Stay tuned to Popwrapped as we will share any news as we get it.
