We know, we know…you’re tired of hearing about the Duck Dynasty drama. But come on, you’re still kind of interested. It’s ok to admit it. Sources from all over have been speculating everything from will the family quit the show following the suspension of Phil Robertson; will A&E recant their suspension to save their highest rated program; if the show does end on A&E will the family continue it on another network and would they even be allowed. Not to mention the slew of speculation over freedom of speech and if all this has just been blown out of proportion. Regardless of what you believe, or if you even care, Louisiana’s lieutenant governor Jay Dardenne has spoken out in support of the Robertsons saying, “Regardless of one's views on Phil Robertson's statements, Duck Dynasty has been an important representation of the state of Louisiana, inspiring prospective visitors and investors since its debut." "If the Robertson family cannot come to an agreement with A&E and wants to continue the show, Louisiana already has the infrastructure in place to maintain their record-breaking program," Dardenne wrote in an email statement. Sources have told E! that the family is “very close” to leaving the A&E show, and really nobody knows if the family would even continue a show at all (on any network). The head of the Robertson clan came under fire recently for homophobic and racist remarks that set the media world on fire. GLAAD, PETA and Charlie Sheen took aim at Robertson for his unguarded remarks while the Palin’s, Louisiana officials and thousands of American’s have stood by Robertson.  Petitions in support of Roberts have been garnering hundreds of thousands of signatures while the GLAAD organization has received the “unprecedented” backlash for speaking out against Robertson. Despite all of this controversy, episodes set to air in January will indeed feature Phil Robertson, though no word on yet on his inclusion in additional tapings. Stay tuned PopWrappers, we’re sure there’s a duck of lot more drama still to come!
