The upcoming Jungle Book live-action film is generating a lot of talk, with Idris Elba being cast as the villainous Shere Khan. Now two beautiful women are also in talks to join Elba as voices in the film.
Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o is apparently being considered to voice Rakcha, the wolf and surrogate mother of protagonist Mowgli.
One of the most surprising pieces of casting news you’re likely to hear is that Scarlett Johannson is set to play Kaa, the hypnotizing snake, who has been mostly portrayed as male in previous versions of the story. However, Johannson’s sultry and intelligent voice would hypnotize even the most cynical person.
The film does not have a release date yet, but Iron Man director Jon Favreau will be directing the film, adding another impressive visual spectacle to his filmography.
