Lupita Nyong’o’s Oscar Dress STOLEN?

The stunning Calvin Klein, pearl covered dress worn to the 2015 Oscars last Sunday by Lupita Nyong’o has been stolen from her hotel room in West Hollywood.

The stunning Calvin Klein, pearl covered dress worn to the 2015 Oscars last Sunday by award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o has been stolen from her hotel room in West Hollywood.

LAPD received the call reporting the dress missing around 11:30pm. TMZ confirmed that the victim was Nyong’o and that the dress was the Oscar gown. She was out of her hotel room for most of the day.

It is estimated to be covered in 6,000 Akoya pearls, and is valued at $150,000.

Investigators are looking into the theft and reviewing security camera footage, and no arrests have been made.

Nyong’o burst into the Hollywood spotlight last year for her performance in the critically acclaimed film 12 Years a Slave. Her role earned her the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Her red carpet wardrobe has been praised by Fashion Police, and the stolen dress turned heads on Sunday with its elaborate decor.
