BBC detective show Luther may have finished this week, however stars of the show would be open to the idea of the show getting a big screen outing.
Warren Brown, who played Justin Ripley in the show said that “It’s always had a very cinematic feel. I could very easily see it transferring onto film. If there’s a market or an audience for it, then fantastic.”
Brown whose character was shockingly killed off in the final ever episode also told Digital Spy that the idea of a movie prequel is not a new one “There’s been talk of a film since the first series, so potentially it could go to the big screen, which I think would be fantastic,”.
Brown said of Ripley’s journey this season that he was glad his character was redeemed prior to his death and he died a hero.
He said “There were quite a lot of tweets knocking about that Ripley was a Judas! So at 9.57pm, I was thinking, ‘Great – just a couple more minutes and he can be a hero again’ – back in the good books!”
Season 3 of Luther will be released by BBC DVD on July 29 and a box set of Season 1 -3 will be released at the same time.
