Rejoice, Doctor Who and Game of Thrones fans! We actually have some sneak peek pictures of Maisie Williams in action on set!

SPOILERS AHEAD!

As I have mentioned/whined about already, there has been very little in the way of teasers from the Who team. For some reason, this season is apparently being kept very, very quiet. It's got to mean there are some huge storylines and characters coming up. which we are all going to be freaking out over on social media, but the occasional gentle spoiler isn't so bad as we wait for August to roll around.

We also get a look at the new variation of Capaldi's costume, as he sports tartan trousers and a hoodie over a ripped jumper. Punk rock Doc, anyone?

So these photos from the set in Fforest Fawr in Wales will surely delight fans. The country park has featured heavily in BBC Wales productions, most recently as Robin Hood's hideout in Robots of Sherwood and Dewer's Hollow in Sherlock.

The 18-year-old, best known for playing Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, was sporting full highwayman...woman...attire and holding up a stagecoach from the back of a beautiful black horse. The Doctor then hops out, holding some sort of spacey gadget.

There has been a lot of guessing about just who she would play and these photos seem to have answered most of the questions.

Doctor Who is no stranger to lavish historicals, and with all  the period costumes and props on show, this looks to be no exception.

Doctor Who is expected to air on BBC One in autumn.
