Readers have been waiting for any information about The Winds of Winter, George R.R. Martin's next installment of the A Song of Ice and Fire series that inspired HBO's Game of Thrones. Be careful what you wish for, because Martin revealed that he plans on killing off many major characters. Martin recently spoke at a roundtable event in London with fellow fantasy author Robin Hobb, and admitted that he has no problem with offering the reader a little bloodshed. “The way my books are structured, everyone was together, then they all went their separate ways and the story deltas out like that, and now it’s getting to the point where the story is beginning to delta back in, and the viewpoint characters are occasionally meeting up with each other now and being in the same point at the same time, which gives me a lot more flexibility for killing people," he said. Martin did not admit which character would meet their timely end (if it's Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister, we will riot), but any fan of the series can expect the unexpected. The Winds of Winter still does not have an official release date. Which character would you be sad to see killed? Who do you want gone?
