Now that Shannon Thompson, famously known as Mama June, is making more headlines than the TLC show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo for all the wrong reasons, the show has officially been cancelled. But the cancellation is the least of Mama June’s problems! She could lose custody of her kids.

The rumor that Shannon had reunited with her ex-boyfriend, a convicted child molester, was the last straw and the announcement was made about the cancellation. The rumors surfaced after Mama June and Sugar Bear’s break up earlier this year as well as Mark McDaniel being released from prison. And to make matters worse, Anna Shannon Cardwell, Shannon’s eldest daughter has opened up about being the 8 year old victim McDaniel molested.

“I believe she is seeing him and hanging around him,” she said, “I’m hurt. I think me and Mama’s relationship may well be over.”

Shannon has also come to her own defense posting on Alana Thompson’s Facebook page, along with Lauryn, her fourteen year old daughter, denying the allegations.

“I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can’t believe everything you read! Ppl sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isnt true i promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn’t go back.”

Susan Boatwright of Family and Child Services told People Magazine, “From our point of view, when there are young children who are not able to protect themselves that are in daily contact or living with a sex offender, someone would go out and assess the situation and decide whether the children can stay there or not. If we thought a child was in harm’s way in any way, shape or form, we would develop a safety plan and make sure the children are not around an offender.”

Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson sassed her way into our hearts and brought along the rest of the family. They did right by reality TV  so let’s hope Mama June makes things right on her end!
