Man Of Steel, aside from The Tudors, launched the career of Henry Cavill and, having made $670 million at the box office, was a considerable hit with fans, but now it looks as if the planned sequel might not happen...AT ALL.
According to Den Of Geek, a source has said that:
"..as far as they understand it, the sequel is on "permanent hold."
The rumour comes on the back of suggestions that George Miller, director of the box-office smash Mad Max: Fury Road, is, should it happen, the most likely candidate to direct MOS2, as filmmaker Jon Schnepp simply said recently:
"George Miller is doing Man Of Steel 2."
DC's film schedule over the next few years is pretty hectic, as is that of Henry Cavill. Zack Snyder is booked up with work until 2019 thanks to Batman v Superman, as well as the two highly-anticipated Justice League movies, all of which Cavill is a key part of.
