Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul√A And 36 More Manga Anime Series have been blacklisted by China much to fans dismay.

This is rather sad and unfortunate news for fans of manga and anime in China. On Monday, The Chinese Ministry of Culture announced that it has blacklisted a total of 38 anime and manga titles for distribution online and in print. Liu Qiang, Senior Ministry Official, has claimed more series will be blacklisted and the list is “the result of evaluations by investigators, reviews by the ministry and the opinions of experts. It aims to guide websites in the proper review and importation of comics and animations.”

The following anime/manga series have been blacklisted:

  • Another

  • Terror in Resonance 

  • Tokyo Ravens

  • Deadman Wonderland

  • Psycho-Pass

  • Ergo Proxy 

  • Death Note

  • Black Butler 

  • Parasyte

  • Claymore

  • Corpse Party

  • Elfen Lied 

  • Devil May Cry

  • Strike the Blood

  • Blood-C

  • School Days

  • Highschool of the Dead

  • Tokyo ESP

  • Date A Live ll

  • Sword Art Online II

  • Dance in the Vampire Bund

  • High School DxD

  • RIN- Daughters of Mnemosyne 

  • Sakura Diaries 

  • Kanokon

  • Afro Samurai

  • Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero
