Music duo Marian Hill, which consists of Samantha Gongol and Jeremy Lloyd, released their new album Unusual and it is the album to listen to! Marian Hill’s new music will take you through every mood you could be feeling; it has uplifting songs, sad songs, and songs for the bedroom. They became popular when their hit ‘Down’ hit the radio waves back in January, 2017, which has made this album highly anticipated.

Unusual includes ten songs, ‘Down’ is not one of them, and each one has a something both magic and special about it. We’ve decided a track by track review is the best way to give this album its best review.

‘Subtle Thing’ – Marian Hill released this track a few weeks ago in anticipation of the album’s release and we fell in love with it instantly. It pulls you in with Gongol’s soft vocals and the simple backdrop, including snapping. You’ll be mesmerized by this song.

‘Differently’ – An amazing revenge on your ex song with an unusual musical backing that really allows it to stand out and progress the album to the next step. This song is a classic kiss off, but it's good enough to replace your go to.

‘All Night Long’ feat. Steve Davit – This song will take you away to your inner sexy self with the music and devious lyrics. Marian Hill does an excellent job with ‘All Night Long’ as it makes you move your shoulders, dancing a little until you give in.

‘Don’t Miss You’ – They leave the bedroom behind as we venture into the next track and we get another excellent breakup song. Marian Hill doesn’t dwell on the sorrow or mourning of a relationships end in their songs, but instead empowering tracks about moving on.

‘Wish You Would’ – A simple track as we reach the middle of the album with repetitive lyrics that will be in your head for the rest of the day. It’s a good breaking point among the rest of the album to give you pause and get your ready for what’s coming next.

‘Don’t Do It’ – The moment when you do something your friends warn you not to and then you regret it instantly. That’s the premise of this subtle track.

‘Sideways’ – This song is one of our favorites, if for no other reason then the little vocal runs throughout the song. It’s beautiful and you’ll find yourself singing along without realizing it.

‘No Hesitation’ – Marian Hill takes us back to the bedroom for this one but it’s got a twist. This track isn’t about making love, but instead a quick hookup with no thought. It’s a sexy song with a bridge that really adds to the momentum.

‘Listening’ feat. Steve Davit – Another repetitive song as we near the album’s end, but it has an amazing saxophone solo as it reaches its climax.

‘Go Quietly’ – Marian Hill ends Unusual with a soft track, but for this album it's the perfect way to close. The vocals shine once more as the album finishes its journey.
