Mark Gatiss Set To Write Two Episodes Of Doctor Who In Upcoming Series
Media Courtesy of
The 12th incarnation of the Doctor is coming soon, with Mr. Peter Capaldi handling the reins behind the TARDIS. One of our favorite writers, Mark Gatiss, has confirmed that he has written two episodes for future Doctor Who episodes. So far in the Time Lord universe, Gatiss has six episodes under his belt which includes the episodes "The Crimson Horror" and "Cold War" from Matt Smith's final season as the Doctor. Gatiss went on to make sure readers understood that while he is writing for Doctor Who, "That doesn't mean they'll both necessarily be in [Series 8]." Makes you wonder how many more amazing episodes can turn out of his brilliant British brain (hoorah, alliteration!) Gatiss maybe also hints at the possibility of the Time Lords making a return while doing a panel in Brazil. However, he believes that taking a trip back to Gallifrey might take the magic away from the ancient race, stating "... it starts to make the Time Lords a bit too domesticated... if you talk about them as this amazing, powerful force, they're much more exciting." If you ask me, anything involving the Doctor is exciting. He could be watching wallpaper dry and still find endless ways to entertain. Currently the cast and crew is in Cardiff filming series 8. The countdown continues to the fall debut of the new Doctor and more timey wimey adventures!
