Warning: This post contains spoilers for Sherlock series three. If you do not want to be spoiled, then stop reading here.

Hats off to the cast of Sherlock! Martin Freeman (John Watson) said that he loved working with fellow actor and real-life partner, Amanda Abbington (Mary Watson nee Morstan). Abbington joined the BBC cast as love interest Mary Morstan. That surname, however, was quickly discarded when the Morstan-Watson wedding came and went in the second episode of the most recent series. What’s Sherlock without a few plot twists? Freeman and Abbington turned UK audiences’ heads when John discovered (thanks to Sherlock) that Mary was actually an undercover agent. The short of the long: she’s not who she says she is. That’s only part of what makes this particular series so exciting. In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Freeman said that it was very “enjoyable” to work with Abbington. "I've done it a few times with Amanda before, but nothing as sustained as this," he discussed, "She's great. I love it. It made the day go even quicker. It made it even more enjoyable. We have a natural kind of rhythm and chemistry together that I love. I really appreciate that part of my day. It made it easier." Abbington and Freeman first met on the set of Men Only in 2000. From there it was only a matter of time before they started dating. The third series of Sherlock has concluded in the UK and will premiere in the US on PBS Masterpiece Sunday, January 19 at 9:58pm EST.
